Between our school operations, community outreach programs, and the NC Dance Festival; volunteer opportunities at Dance Project are endless! We regularly need volunteers to assist with the planning and production of events and fundraisers, provide support during performances to our Front of House team or backstage as part of our tech crew, help out with classes and workshops, and more. If you are not currently enrolled in a school/degree program, all of our internship options are also still open to you in a volunteer capacity.
Dance Project, Inc. is a school, a festival, and a community resource. Working in this atmosphere provides invaluable experience with the multiple facets of an arts career. Our internship positions include marketing, development, school operations, outreach and NC Dance Festival roles and can serve as a springboard into all kinds of exciting careers. Former DP School Coordinator, instructor, and festival artist, Dylan Reddish, started out as an intern with us! Check out her story in the video. If you are passionate about the arts and have an interest in working with a community-minded non-profit organization, let us know!
Board Members play an essential role in helping us foster relationships with the donors, sponsors, and community partners that make our programming possible; benefitting students, artists and audiences alike. Their activities are not limited to planning meetings/committees! Our multi-talented Board Chair, Elizabeth Minehart, has supported our mission in many ways, including hosting a cookie decorating class as part of our December Giving campaign!
