Dance Project strives to make dance accessible to as many people as possible, so we offer several ways to assist with the financial cost of taking classes. Click for more information about Scholarships and Work-Study/Trade.

We also want to say a special Thank you to Truist for their partnership and commitment to expanding opportunities for young people in our community. Because of Truist we were able to provide $5,000 worth of scholarships for our dancers in the Fall of 2025. Together, we are helping ensure that financial hardship does not prevent children from experiencing the lifelong benefits of arts education and expression. Thank you Truist!
Adults, teens, and youth students are eligible for scholarship support, for classes, camps, clinics, and intensives. You may apply each semester, as long as you continue to meet the eligibility guidelines. Scholarship funds go quickly, so be sure to get your application in during the Priority Application window for the best chance of receiving financial support.

FALL 2026 SCHOLARSHIPS:

July 15-August 3
Submit your application in this window for the best chance for receiving support!
After August 3, applications will be accepted as long as funds remain, until 9/30.
SPRING 2027 SCHOLARSHIPS:
Application window will be announced in late fall, and is likely to be in November 2026,

NEED TO KNOWS
Each semester Dance Project offers ways for dancers and their family members to participate in cost-reducing trades. These trades all vary in time commitment and rate. All trades earned will be applied to the following semester’s account balance. Contact the office for more details & specific opportunities.
Teaching Assistant
Commitment: Assisting teachers in young dance classes.
Time: Weekly class assignment (mutually agreed upon schedule).
Age requirement: 13+ (students 13-18 can make interest known, the office will make final determination)
Rate: $8 hr (youth) $10 hr (adult)
Office Support
Commitment: Working in support role in office at front desk. Training will be provided.
Time: 1-3 hours weekly
Age requirement: 18+
Rate: $10 hr
Studio Cleaning
Commitment: 1-2x monthly deep cleaning of studios.
Time: 1.5-2 hours each visit for 1 semester.
Age requirement: 16+
Rate: $15 hr
Costume Washing
Rate: Flat fee based on number of costumes
Table Cloth Washing
Rate: Flat fee based on number of tablecloths
Costume Sewing
Rate: Flat fee based on labor needs
