Dance Project/NC Dance Festival presents an informal showing of dance and dance film by choreographers and dancers in the 2021 Artist in Residence program. Amelia Byrd (Greensboro), Caitlin Dutton-Reaver (Durham), Bre Forbes (Greensboro), and Jen Guy Metcalf (Greensboro) will share what they have been working on throughout their residencies. Jeehyun Joung will share her dance film, LUCINA, in a virtual screening on December 10 through 12 on the NC Dance Festival Facebook page and the Dance Project website. The choreography presents a variety of perspectives on dance, from site-based dance, dance film, dance using technology to bridge distance between performers, and participatory work based in restorative justice. A Q&A with the artists will follow the showing.
Showing takes place in Studio 323 in the Greensboro Cultural Center (200 N. Davie St, Greensboro)
Tickets are free, but seating is limited, so reserve a seat in advance. Masks are required in the studio and efforts will be made to distance seating between groups.Reservations: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/artist-in-residence-informal-showing-tickets-219988520587
