IMPORTANT UPDATE- Face Masks
This is an important update that Dance Project will be shifting our mask policy soon.
- While facemasks are still currently required in all classes for ages 3+, we hope to make masks optional for all students beginning 3.15
- This will also mean adjustments to Dance Project’s current Covid Protocols
- We will have full details to share coming soon. If you have questions/concerns please do not hesitate to reach out! We hope you understand as we take our time with this decision and policy shift.

- Final scholarship due date is 2.27. Applications are processed on a rolling basis, first come first serve while funds remain.
- If you have already received a Spring scholarship, you must make a payment by 2.10 or you will forfeit your scholarship award.

Dancers Ages 8-12
- In an effort to build two of our favorite classes for ages 8-12, Tap I/II and Hip Hop I/II we have a special offer just for you…
- All 8-12 Dancers: we invite you to take a free trial of both/either of these classes and see what they’re all about! No tap shoes required to try out tap class.
- Current Tap & Hip Hop dancers: we invite you to bring a buddy to class to see why we love these classes so much!
- Any free trials/buddies, please fill out the following Trial Form to let us know which class you’d like to try out and when.
- Scholarships still available for any dancers interested in adding on an extra class, even if you have already made a payment this semester!
- Registration deadline for these classes extended until the week of March 6th! Don’t miss your chance to learn a new dance style this semester!

Dance Marathon
- Dance Project’s annual dance party fundraiser is coming up! We are now one month out, with this year’s event Saturday, March 25 4:00-8:30pm right here in the Greensboro Cultural Center’s Van Dyke Performance Space.
- Enjoy free performances (including our own performance company dancers and many special guests), classes, games, and challenges!
- Become a Dance Partner for a chance to win 1 Free Class for a year!
- Dance Partners help us fundraise towards our marathon goal of $20,000! Special prizes will be awarded to the Dance Partner who raises the most money or who has the most donors. Details here
- We are seeking prize donations and sponsors!
- Can you donate a prize to our prize drawing? Past prizes have included gift cards, goods, experiences, services, etc. We are also seeking sponsors. Contact us to make a prize donation or to learn more about our sponsorship benefits for you, your business, or community partners.

Spring Showcase
- Please save the date for Dance Project’s end of semester performance 6.3 & 6.4
- $15 CostumeFee & $15 Spring Showcase Fee will be posted on accounts 3.1. These fees are mandatory for showcase participation.
- If your dancer is in a class participating in Showcase (all youth classes ages 3-13+) but your dancer is not interested/able to perform, please let us know if you will not be participating, and we will remove these fees from your account.
- Costume Measurements:
- Please fill out the following Costume Measurement Form by the due date of March 6
- Measurements taken will be used to inform Dance Project costume alterations/purchases for you/your dancer’s Spring Showcase performance.
- Before completing this form, be sure to read and reference the following Measurement Guide:

- If you are in need of measuring tape, please let Dance Project staff know- there is tape available for loan in the Dance Project office.

The North Carolina Dance Festival (NCDF)
- The NC Dance Festival, a production of the Dance Project, is an annual touring showcase of modern and contemporary choreography by NC artists. The Festival establishes a network of venues for professional regional choreography and performance, expanding accessibility of dance throughout the state while raising the profile of North Carolina’s own artists.

Payment Schedule & Information- Spring
- March install due this upcoming Wednesday March 1st
- We accept Cash, Check, or Credit Card payments
- Credit card payments are made in the class portal only and incur a 3% surcharge. This goes to the processing company and not to DP
- Dance Project does not accept in-person credit card payments but accepts cash/check in office
- Late Payment Communication
- Any payments made after the 10th will incur a $10 late fee
- Notification of late payment will be sent on the 11th via email
- Any student with an account unpaid by the 20th will be unable to participate
- Spring classes can be paid in full or in 5 installments
- Installment schedule: 1/9, 2/1, 3/1, 4/3, 5/1
- Autopay will run on 1/9, 2/1, 3/1, 4/3, 5/1
- Autopay participants who register after a draft date will need to manually pay before the 10th of the month to avoid a late fee
- We do not pro-rate tuition. Students do have the option to make up a class in a comparable class. If you need to make up a class please contact Magalli magalli@danceproject.org
- Parents are fiscally responsible for the cost of the full semester after 3 classes have been attended, regardless of attendance from that point on

- Join us for a ballet class perfect for beginner adults! Learn the fundamentals of ballet and get moving this semester!

*New Adult Class* Contemporary Movement Lab (18+) with Caitlyn Schrader
- Saturdays 10:30-12:00pm in Studio 323
- Join Dance Project for an 18+ drop-in-only intermediate/advanced contemporary dance class intended for dance professionals and collegiate level dancers. Class is based in Safety Release Technique yet also integrates various other release-based contemporary techniques and supportive methodologies through a somatic approach.

Adult Performance Company
Adult Performance Company will return for the Spring 2023 semester, beginning in January.
- What is Adult Performance Company?
- Dance Project’s Adult Performance Company (18+) is an opportunity for adult dancers to learn, create, and perform choreography in the community, and participate in many other opportunities, such as attending dance events and workshops! Dancers enroll in a weekly class which serves as their rehearsal time and work with a choreographer for the year. Adult Performance Company is open to all! No audition is required. Dancers are required to take at least 1 weekly dance technique class in addition to APC rehearsal time, in any dance style.

COVID Guidelines
- All Dance Project classes, office space, check-in areas, and events currently require a mask. This includes students, staff, parents, and audience members.
- Thank you so much for your support in helping keep your Dance Project family and our community safe. We will continue to monitor the community trends and keep you updated as to if/when our class requirements may change.

Greensboro Cultural Center
- All Dance Project classes, unless otherwise noted, occur on the 3rd floor of the Greensboro Cultural Center 200 N Davie St, Greensboro, NC 27401
Parking
- Parking is recommended in the Church St Parking Deck. First hour free. You can validate your parking at the Greensboro Central Library. Parking is free if leaving after 7pm on weekdays, free on weekends. Otherwise, $1/hr.
- During Tanger Center events, the Church Street parking deck will be shared.
- Anyone displaying the attached voucher in either print or digital form will be exempted from the posted fee. This voucher is valid only at the Church Street Parking Deck after 5pm Monday-Friday, and anytime on the weekend. Voucher Here
- Visitors who do not have the voucher, but who indicate to the attendant upon entry that their visit is for something other than attendance at a Tanger Center event, will have the $10 fee waived.
- These waivers apply only to the $10 Special Event fee being implemented before Tanger Center events
