DP Closed- Independence Day
- DP is closed (no classes or camps) Monday, July 3-Saturday, July 8 for 4th of July holiday.
- We will return for regular classes this upcoming Monday, July 10th.
Summer 2023 session is in full swing!
- Summer semester runs 6.12-8.12 (8 weeks)
- Summer 2023 Camps AND classes are still available for registration! Be sure to save your spot!

- Camps open for registration until the Wednesday before camp week! Camps available for ages 3-18! Half day and full day options.

- Teen Technique Clinic
- Join us for 2 weeks of our new Teen Technique Clinic camp! Dancers will explore various dance styles and work to further develop their dance technique and artistry. Final Call for Scholarship Applications- Pre/Pro & Teen Technique Clinic!
- We have had a great number of scholarship applications this summer, so we have been able to award many scholarships already to youth and adults!
- Some summer scholarship funding for the Pre/Professional Dance Intensive & Teen Technique Clinic only still available!
- Final scholarship due date is this upcoming Monday, 7.10! More info & apply ASAP here
- Applications are processed on a rolling basis, first come first serve while funds remain.

Donation Request- Camp Activity Supplies
- We are still looking for any families who might have any of the following they would be interested in donating, used or new condition:
- Puzzles
- Board games
- Building blocks
- Lego sets
- Picture books
- Coloring Books/Activity Books
- These items would be used during our camps for camp activities and student playtimes during our full day 9am-5pm camps.

- What is NCDF? The NC Dance Festival, a production of the Dance Project, is an annual touring showcase of modern and contemporary choreography by NC artists. The Festival establishes a network of venues for professional regional choreography and performance, expanding accessibility of dance throughout the state while raising the profile of North Carolina’s own artists.

Payment Schedule & Information
- 2nd Summer installments were due July 3rd
- Camp payments must be made manually (not included in autopay), by cash/check in office, or with card via class portal by the Wednesday prior to camp week.
- Ex: If camp is the week of 6.12-6.18, camp payment must be made by Wednesday 6.7.
- We accept Cash, Check, or Credit Card payments
- Credit card payments are made in the class portal only and incur a 3% surcharge. This goes to the processing company and not to DP
- Dance Project does not accept in-person credit card payments but accepts cash/check in office
- Late Payment Communication
- Any payments made after the 10th will incur a $10 late fee (or 10 days following tuition due date if not the 1st)
- Notification of late payment will be sent on the 11th via email
- Any student with an account unpaid by the 20th will be unable to participate
- Summer classes can be paid in full or in 2 installments
- Installment schedule: 6/12, 7/1
- Autopay will run on 6/12, 7/3
- Autopay participants who register after a draft date will need to manually pay before the 10th of the month to avoid a late fee
- We do not pro-rate tuition. Students do have the option to make up a class in a comparable class. If you need to make up a class please contact Magalli magalli@danceproject.org
- Parents are fiscally responsible for the cost of the full semester after 3 classes have been attended, regardless of attendance from that point on

Greensboro Cultural Center
- All Dance Project classes, unless otherwise noted, occur on the 3rd floor of the Greensboro Cultural Center (200 N Davie St, Greensboro, NC 27401)
- We currently make use of Studios 323, 305, and 317. Please note on our class schedule which studio your dancer’s class/camp occurs in.
- Our office is located in Suite 321. Please visit us in office or call/email magalli@danceproject.org (336)370-6776 to set up a time to meet, ask questions, or a make a cash/check payment. Please note office staff hours may vary.
Parking
- Parking is recommended in the Church St Parking Deck. First hour free. You can validate your parking at the Greensboro Central Library. Parking is free if leaving after 7pm on weekdays, free on weekends. Otherwise, $1/hr.
- During Tanger Center events, the Church Street parking deck is shared with Tanger patrons.
- Anyone displaying the attached voucher in either print or digital form will be exempted from the posted Tanger Center parking fee. This voucher is valid only at the Church Street Parking Deck after 5pm Monday-Friday, and anytime on the weekend. Voucher Here
- Visitors who do not have the voucher, but who indicate to the attendant upon entry that their visit is for something other than attendance at a Tanger Center event, will have the $10 fee waived.

- Drop-In (Single Class Ticket): one class at time at $15 a class

- Most Dance Project 13+/18+ drop in classes are Open Level (anyone can join!), with the exception of Modern III/IV Master Class Series, Jazz III/IV, and Contemporary Movement Lab, which are recommended for advanced dancers. If you have any questions in regards to level/class placement or specific class recommendations, please reach out to magalli@danceproject.org
Class Pass/Class Ticket Purchases
- Dance Project does not accept cash, check or credit card payments in office for drop in class tickets/class pass purchases.
- Class Tickets/Class Passes must be purchased online via Eventbrite and require manual card entry. If you have any trouble purchasing a class ticket online, Dance Project Staff are happy to walk you through this process to purchase your ticket/pass online in office or on the phone.
- *An exception is only made for Adult Scholarships and Professional Practice Program scholarship recipients, who may pay in office via cash or check, or online via a class portal account here.*
Waiver
- Please be sure to fill out the waiver attached to your ticket/pass receipt before your first class with Dance Project, or you may be asked to fill out a paper copy of our waiver before class. A waiver is required for participation in classes at Dance Project.

Contemporary Movement Lab (18+) with Caitlyn Schrader
- Saturdays 10:30-12:00pm in Studio 323 *
- Join Dance Project for an 18+ drop-in-only intermediate/advanced contemporary dance class intended for dance professionals and collegiate level dancers. Class is based in Safety Release Technique yet also integrates various other release-based contemporary techniques and supportive methodologies through a somatic approach.

Time Shifts for Breaking & ABB!

- Open Level Breaking (13+) with Joshua “Link” Lanning!
- *NEW CLASS TIME: Tuesdays 6:00-7:15pm in Studio 305
- Join us for an Open Level Breaking class perfect for teens and adults of all levels/experience. Emphasis will be placed on coordination, rhythm, dynamics, personal style and expression within hip hop and breaking styles. Class will include a jam session/cypher.

Instructor Highlight- Meghan Hartnett John!
- Join Meghan this summer for Jazz III/IV (13+ drop in) Thursdays 6:00-7:30pm! This class is perfect for dancers who want to develop their dance technique with turns, jumps, flexibility, and strength-building. Join us on Thursdays to learn a fun jazzy combo with lots of great music featured in Meghan’s class!
- Meghan Hartnett John is a multi-faceted dancer, teacher and administrator, whose background is rooted in ballet, contemporary, modern and jazz technique. As a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, receiving a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance with a minor in Arts Administration, Meghan desires to support and advocate for the arts and specifically, the dance community. During her time at UNCG, she has performed original works by Germaul Barnes, Ronald K. Brown, Michael Job, B.J. Sullivan, and Kara Janelle Wade. Meghan has also had the opportunity to teach and create multiple pieces of choreography. Her work has been performed at Encore Dance Studios, the Harris YMCA School of Dance, Northwest School of the Arts, and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro as well as many dance competitions and conventions. Additionally, Meghan has worked administratively for the Joffrey Ballet School, Dance Project Inc. and Charlotte Ballet.
Adult Performance Company
- What is Adult Performance Company?
- Dance Project’s Adult Performance Company (18+) is an opportunity for adult dancers to learn, create, and perform choreography in the community, and participate in many other opportunities, such as attending dance events and workshops! Dancers meet for a weekly class which serves as their rehearsal time and work with a choreographer for the year. Adult Performance Company is open to all! No audition is required. Dancers are required to take at least 1 weekly dance technique class in addition to APC rehearsal time, in any dance style. Performance Company is only offered in Fall & Spring.
